10th of June, 2012 sees the annual Woodhill DH race at Woodhill forest.

The race will be run on the SPCA course, so fun for all and there’s plenty of time to get some practice on the track and get t dialed before the race.

Shuttles start at 8 on Race Day with timed runs starting at 11.

Don’t miss out, the next one will probably be a year away….

NOTE: I think this is the Sophie Tyas World Cup Fundraiser.

Sophie Tyas is holding a fund raiser on the SPCA at Woodhill on Sunday 10 June….”Woodhill Downhill” similar format to the one last year.
This was a fun event last year and is sure to be great again this year. I’ll post more info on this race as I get it.

Money raised will help go towards Shpoie’s World Cup campaign.

Bike NZ released the World Cup Long list last week. Descend Rotorua does well with four riders on the list.
Will be interesting to see who gets to go.

Another great event held on Sunday.
Everyone enjoyed themselves during the day as we traversed across the forest taking in some of the best tracks on offer.
Descend would like to thank the forest owners, CNI Iwi Holdings and the forest and event managers, Timberlands and the Rotorua District Council for allowing us to hold this event in the forest. Without access to the forest there would be no recreational or club events.

Once again thanks to two or our biggest helpers, Eric & Alison for Driving and Timing. Without either help we wouldn’t have an event.
